After our long day in Olomouc, the next day was Saturday and we
flew out of Austria to England to finally arrive in Cambridge late that day. The
students settled into their dorms at Clare College. England was celebrating a Bank Holiday that
weekend, so there were many tourists visiting Cambridge all weekend long,
weather permitting. And, weather was an
interesting factor in that it was quite rainy and cold in this part of England –
very strange to realize it was August!
On Sunday morning, Mark had arranged for a city tour – the guide
for my half of the group was Ian, who began our walking tour over the back roads towards Trinity College
(which is situated next to Clare College) and its beautiful Wren Library, into Cambridge town itself, and finally Kings
Chapel, which sits next to Clare College:

Here, our tour ended and we all had lunch at a local sandwich shop. |
